Background:

For what seems like my entire life, I have had a passion for teaching others and working with children of all ages, ethnic backgrounds and learning abilities. My educational philosophy derives around the principle that learning is infinite for both student and teacher and essentially, we will always be given opportunities to improve and prosper within our own learning abilities. During my time spent as a Pre-Kindergarten educator throughout the past five years, I’ve learned to secure one of my biggest goals, which is to encourage a safe, fun learning environment for all of my students as well as accommodate and adapt to each student’s individual needs. I always aspire for each of my learners to understand that we are all different and gifted in various areas that will contribute to our overall learning in the classroom. Every student has the opportunity to bring value and virtue in the overall contribution of extending and enriching the learning environment for both student and teacher. I look forward to continuing these values as I begin my journey at Saint Patrick’s School this upcoming school year!

Personal:

I love to surround myself with both laughter and love from my family and friends as much as possible. Whenever I get the chance, I love to have my feet in the sand down at the beach or snuggling on the couch enjoying some of my favorite HGTV shows with both my husband Derek and our soon to be four-year-old, Dallas.

One Thing I Want Parents to Know:

I believe the most conducive learning does not take place in a classroom that inhibits students based on the color of their skin, economic status or level of learning; however, it flourishes in an environment that is diverse with culture, various learning abilities and stimulating personalities that are both introverted and extroverted. In order to induce this learning environment, we will learn and assist each other in order to achieve a higher learning. Working together as a team will allow us to build a form of trust and eliminate the biased judgment that can develop at a young age. I aspire to be an insightful teacher to your children through utilizing the skills, education and passions learned throughout my educational career as well as always allowing the opportunity for areas of improvement. Ultimately, I believe that teaching is an opportunity to learn. By applying these positive aspirations learned and gained throughout my educational career, not only will make my students efficient learners, but I will also add value within your home and in the Saint Patrick’s community!
