Background:

I have taught history and writing at both the high school and middle school levels in Washington D.C., Brooklyn N.Y., and Newark, New Jersey.  From there, I was a Dean of Students and Instructional Coach before pivoting to teaching graduate students for ten years.  I taught, advised, and coached teachers who were working towards their certification and master’s degree in teaching. I am excited to return to the classroom.

Personal:

I grew up in CT and lived in a lot of different states before settling in PA with my family.  Two of my kids will be attending Saint Pats and another is attending middle school close by. All of my kids are very active in sports and on the weekends, I am usually at an ice rink, a lacrosse or soccer sideline, or travelling to tournaments.

One Thing I Want Parents to Know:

I am really committed to building the literacy skills that kids need to be successful readers, writers, and thinkers.  We will be doing a lot of writing, reading analysis, and public speaking in class and we will break down the strategies in a step-by-step fashion.  I am committed to helping your child and always eager to answer any questions.
