I have wanted to be a teacher from the time I was very young. I went to Catholic schools during the 60’s and 70’s and had many nuns. When I was young, I would wear a towel on my head to pretend I was a nun, then go into my basement and “play teacher”. Well… the teacher part came true but not the nun part. I cannot imagine being in any other career! I have 14 years teaching experience and 3 years as a substitute teacher at various grade levels. I am certified in Special Education K-12 and have a good deal of experience with special needs students. My certification also includes Elementary K-6 and English 7-12. My favorite grades to teach are the middle school grades; I love being able to engage them in meaningful conversation. Here at St. Patrick’s, I am blessed to be able to teach my two favorite subjects, ELA and religion. As I begin the 2019-2020 school year, I will be entering my 2nd year at St. Patrick’s, and I LOVE the community here!

I am originally from Northfield, OH, a small suburb of Cleveland. My parents have both passed away, but I was blessed to receive a wonderful upbringing and childhood experience from them—one which I will always treasure. Among the many gifts they gave me, the most important one was the gift of my Catholic faith, which I enjoy sharing with the students. I have been married for almost 36 years to a wonderful man from Pittsburgh, PA. We have 5 children, ranging from 32-years-old to 17-years-old; my 26-year-old son and 30-year-old daughter are both married. Outside of teaching, I like to swim laps for exercise, sew, read, and do home decorating projects. In the summer, we love to go to the beach! For the past few years, we have been going to St. Simons Island, GA, where my husband and I lived when we were first married. I am so happy that you, as parents, have entrusted your children to St. Patrick’s School for their academic and spiritual growth, and I am honored to be a part of their experience.

One Thing I Want Parents to Know:

I love my Catholic faith, and I want to be a witness to your children! My goal is to help them on their faith journey, in order that they may appreciate the beauty of our faith and God’s immense love for them!
