Saint Patrick School Student Support Team

“No child should be denied his or her right to an education in faith, which in turn nurtures the soul of a nation.”

– Pope Benedict XVI

Saint Patrick’s school has a legacy of strong Catholic and educational values. Positive, cooperative, and supportive relationships among administration, parents, teachers, and students enable students to develop their fullest potential in our inclusive school.

The goal of the Student Support Team (SST) is to help identify and assist students who need support in achieving success academically or meeting the behavior standards of St. Patrick School. The team collaborates with families and classroom teachers to provide additional support in order to ensure success for all of our students.

SST is comprised of the Saint Patrick School Principal or Assistant Principal, the Learning Resource teacher, the Chester County Intermediate Unit specialists who are trained in intervention and support, as well as the student’s teacher/s. Parents are an integral part in the process of sharing information and planning strategies for success. The SST has a vital role to: 1) enable teachers to teach students more effectively, 2) enable students to acquire academic and social competencies, meet or exceed expectations, become independent learners for life, and 3) create a collaborative culture among all staff.
