Michele Kiss
Background:
I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana where I taught both middle and high school for 10 years. In 2012, my family and I moved to Pennsylvania for my husband’s job. Since we moved here, SPS has become a second family to us. I love the sense of community here. I feel like my children have so many people that care for them.
Personal:
I have three wonderful children: John, Joey (both students at SPS), and Emma (future Warrior). When I’m not running after them, I love to run in races and have completed several half marathons, including one in Disneyworld. I can’t wait to get back to running and try for a full marathon.
One Thing I Want Parents to Know:
I have worked in two other fields besides education: TV news and as a Congressional staffer in Washington, D.C. While those jobs were amazing adventures, I quickly returned to my true passion—teaching. People sometimes say to me, “Wow, I couldn’t imagine teaching middle school kids.” Well, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I love what I do and I’m very blessed to be a part of the SPS family.
